NEW RELEASE!! ADVENTURES OF A WITCHY WALLFLOWER

On October 3rd ADVENTURES OF A WITCHY WALLFLOWER  will be available at Amazon in both ebook and print.  Witchy is the third book in the HAVE WAND, WILL TRAVEL series.  The first two books, HAVE WAND, WILL TRAVEL and  ONCE BITTEN, TWICE SHY were originally written for  Robyn Peterman's Magic and Mayhem Kindle World.  Since Amazon discontinued Kindle Worlds,  I've edited the first 2 books to take out any reference to Robyn's characters. And I've added to the first book to round out my story a little more with some delightful dragons. All three will be released October 3rd in ebook and print. The series is enrolled in Kindle Unlimited.
I've loved writing this series. I hope you'll give them a read.

ADVENTURES OF A WITCHY WALLFLOWER is a paranormal romance with lots of comedy. I'm posting an except here. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

He focused in on her in a way that made her wary. “You really don’t dance?”
“No. I have two left feet, Jake. If you value yours, you’d be wise to give up the idea of teaching me.”
“I’m always up for a challenge.”
Did he just use her own words against her?
“Anyone who’s daring enough to try and transport a polar bear to the wilds of Alaska can’t be afraid of a little two-stepping.”
She jumped at the chance to distract him. “Is said polar bear still in the hallway?”
“No. Gee Gee put him back downstairs in the basement. And after our shopping expedition with her, I’ll explain what she said happened.”
“Why not tell me now?”
“Because with the lights down low and the smell of candles burning, it’s the perfect moment to dance.” He grasped her hand and slipped an arm around her to rest a hand against the upper curve of her back, being careful not to crowd her or force her against him.
“What about music?” Her hand automatically found a place on his muscular shoulder.
He snapped his fingers and some slow dance music started. She wondered if he had perfected that move with all the women he probably dated.
“Now to start with, we’re just going to draw a box using our feet.” Though they were standing inches apart, the heat from his body seemed to reach out and blend with hers. And he was only expending a tiny bit of magic to play the music, but it was like a force field wrapping around her, shooting tempting tingles down her nerve endings and stealing her breath.
“I’m going to take a step forward with my right foot, then bring my feet together, while you take a step back with your left and do the same. Then we’ll go to my left, back, and to the right, like we’re tracing a box with our feet. Want to give it a try?”
She nodded, even though her legs felt like rubber.
“Back—right—forward—left. Back—right—forward—left,” he counted off as they moved together. “Just relax and listen to the music.”
Relax! Relax! How could she relax with every sweep of his magic caressing her skin? Out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of the pulsing red stone on the counter as it began to flare hotter. “Jake—”
He glanced over his shoulder and dove for the floor, taking her with him. A loud pop sounded, and red particles ricocheted off the cabinets like BBs. Jake bobbed back up to look down at her, his blue eyes wide with concern. “You okay?”
With his hard masculine form pressing down on her and his wide muscular shoulders shielding her, she was more than just all right. If he’d move just a little more to the right she’d be in seventh heaven.
Her mouth was dry and her voice weak as she said. “Yeah. I’m okay.”
The shift in his expression from concern to something more sent her heart soaring.
“How well can you see without your glasses, Madeline?”
“I’m blind as a blind bat.”
He reached for her glasses and removed them.
The world turned fuzzy. “What are you doing, Jake?”
“I want to see what you’re hiding.”
“I’m not hiding, I just like to be able to see.”
His chest brushed her breasts, and his mouth settled over hers, soft and warm. Every bone in her body turned to jelly. When his tongue brushed her lip in a bid for entry, she raised a hand to cup the back of his neck and parted her mouth. The featherlight caress of his tongue against hers intensified the tempting ache between her legs, and she fought the need to move against him.
The sound of Hopper landing beside them came close to her ear. His deep bullfrog voice croaked, “The house is on fire.”
“Not yet.” Jake kissed her again.
“No. The house really is on fire.”
Jake’s head jerked up. “Holy shit!” He rolled off her and leapt to his feet.
Madeline felt around on the floor for her glasses. Hopper handed them to her, and she shoved them on her face and hurried after Jake.
Jake grabbed a large pot lid they used earlier and forced it down over the flames shooting up from the plate of stones. It wasn’t a physical fire, but a much hotter, magical one. The haze and a stench like burned plastic saturated the kitchen as the fire subsided and finally died down.
Madeline rushed to open the windows and door to air out the house.

Jake grabbed some kitchen mitts and took the plate with the lid still atop it to the backyard and set it down. She hurried after him, concerned for his safety. He waved the mitt to dispel the smoke and flipped the lid off the plate. “It’s out.”
