  Hello Dear Readers! I wanted to give all my readers a quick update and another short excerpt from Building Courage. This book has been a long journey for me. My husband was bedfast for eight months. During that time, he required a lot of care. He passed in February 2023.  It took me nearly eight months to regain my writing rhythm, but I've found my feet.  I finished Building Courage May 1st,  and it is currently in my editor's hands.    I want to give Delilah Devlin, editor extraordinaire and fellow author, a shout-out for taking on the editing of the book. She's truly a wonder.  And I want to acknowledge Tracy Hacker my cover artist, who is an amazing graphic artist. Finishing a book is a bit like saying good-bye to loved ones after a long visit. You spend every day with your characters, caring for them, listening to them, watching them struggle, And crying with them when they're hurt or upset. You experience their emotions as you write them. I've finished the eighth full-length book of my SEAL Team Heartbreakers Series and ended the through-line that wove through each of the books and the two novellas in the Breaking part of the series. Ten stories in all. The last book was Breaking Chains , Derrick Armstrong's story (Released May 13th). Breaking Point is the 8th installment to my SEAL Team Heartbreaker Series. There are 6 full-length books and 2 novellas. There will only be 2 more full length books to this series. Breaking Hearts (Bowie's Story) and Breaking Chains (Derrick Armstrong's Story). Since something Derrick was involved with started the series, I have to give him his own story to end it.  Then I'll be moving on to the Building Series. I'll talk more about that in a later post. I'm always interested in the male perspective about things. So, I decided to ask the men of my SEAL Team Heartbreaker's Series what makes a man a good lover? Knowing they could be a little salty in their language, which doesn't bother me at all, I was braced for some graphic answers. What I got in answer to my question surprised me in some ways and didn't in others. After all I've known these guys for a while now. We decided to do these interviews on Hawk and Zoe's sun porch. The hot tub is covered, but  just a hint of chlorine lingers. The shades are raised and a breeze wafts through the screens surrounding us, bringing with it the smell of fresh cut grass and the clematis that's blooming on a trellis just outside. Recently my cover artist Tracy Stewart from Simply Bookish created a couple of new covers for my next two SEAL TEAM Heartbreaker books and they were unbelievably gorgeous. But when she looked at the first two books in the series, she decided that they needed a face lift so they'd be more aligned with the style of the new ones coming out. So she tweaked the covers just a little  and I just had to brag about how wonderful they look.  Here they are. Tracy is a gifted Graphic designer and can do anything. She's created magnets, bookmarks, postcards, and all my covers for me. She's also done a book trailer for my Romantic Suspense set in Scotland titled Timeless.
